When I bought the car it had been sitting in an automotive storage warehouse as part of a collection belonging to a man in New York’s Manhattan island Collection since 1993. I met him because he vacationed in Florida and we both had an interest in Corvettes. I found the car to be 95% original with only regular wear items replaced along with some performance upgrades. The odometer shows only 80,000 miles and based on its condition I believe this to be the true mileage. All of the seals in the engine & transmission as well as most rubber parts had dry rotted from lack of use. My intention was to have the engine removed to replace the gaskets only. During removal it was obvious that the engine had never been removed since the factory installed it in June ,23 1971. Since I wanted to drive this car on a regular basis I decided to completely rebuild the engine and add performance parts in the process to make the engine bullet proof.

Every Mechanical part of this car received attention with either a replacement part or the original part that was rebuilt. All of my parts came from the top Corvette supplier in the US Ecklers Corvette parts in Titusville Florida. I have a folder containing over $14000.00 in receipts for parts alone not including any labor cost. All original parts that were removed were boxed and saved in the event the car was to become a NCRS 100 point concourse show piece. The previous owner had the car painted in 1993 with a base coat clear coat “Brands Hatch Green”. There are some issue with the paint over the last 16 years but it still is of good driver quality and still looks good from 1 foot away. However if this is to be a show piece it would need to be corrected as well as the chrome bumpers have some pitting. The interior received new leather at the same time and would require very little attention.

I have replaced the windshield because of hazing and since removing it is the only correct way to examine this area for rot as this is a common problem. This vehicle is free from any rust and pictures are attached. A new windshield was installed. All areas of the car were check for rust/rot and were found to be free of any issue other than minor surface rust that can only be considered a cosmetic issue.

All suspension parts are new including springs, bushing, ball joints, tie rods, rebuilt steering gear and so on. The springs were upgraded to the Gymkhana handling package. All of the brake lines are new stainless steel & new rubber lines, calipers, rotors, wheel bearings, pads/shoes/ e.brake shoes & hardware. New urethane bushing replaced all the dry rotted rubber ones and offer better handling and they will not dry rot.

All of the vacuum lines for the headlight doors and wiper cowl have been replaced including switches & servos. The wiper motor is new. The headlights and wiper cowl doors function as new. All electrical items in the car function as they should as well as the fiber optics are in good working order.

I am sure there are many more things that I am forgetting but a full list with all of the paperwork will be provided with the sale.

Le auto aquistate negli u.s.a. sono un ? , ma questa a vederla sembra sana e penso che fino al momento dello sbarco in italia,
